I’ve heard a lot of good from the people who use device such as the Sound Devices MixPre-6 II + DAW -combo when creating recordings.

Portable MixPre-6 II not only help in the mobile field recording, but allow you to move inside your studio to different locations to record e.g. acoustic instrument in a separate booth or other specially trated areas, where distance to the DAW is long.

You can download MixPre-6 II recorded takes easily to your DAW via the USB to include these takes to your main mix for further editing/effecting.

Any user experience of the Sound Devices MixPre-6 II (or any other similar recorder) + DAW -use?
E.g. any difficulties in syncing takes made with separate tools?
