How to make this psy-staccato bass?

How to make the bass, as it is here around 0:24:00?

How to get it that deep, dense and rollin? Although I am looking for tutorials, I struggle since days to get it like that. It seems as if there is a 16th staccato layerd onto a 4th sub (or is it the kick tail?) but I just don't it get this nice deep stacato tone.



Common hints (use multiband distortion, multiband compression in the right order, etc. don't help me). Need some concrete frequencies, order of Fx, whatever
