After a major update released yesterday there is now only two options: :tu:

RipX DAW:
https://hitnmix.com/ripx-daw/
&
RipX DAW Pro:
https://hitnmix.com/ripx-daw-pro/

Downloading the Pro version, which was a free upgrade for me, right now!

You can record audio and midi into this app??

So i installed the demo, but it doesn't support VST instruments by midi or VST effects. I expected something called a "DAW" in 2023 to support VST instruments and effects. I'm prepared to delete or edit this message if its just my stupidity. Yes i have looked at the manual.

The name is pretty misleading I'd say - this isn't really a DAW in the normal sense - it's more like Melodyne (Studio) on steroids (yet at the same time far less mature, it seems to me)

or let me put it a bit differently:

this is like the bastard-child of Melodyne and Spectralayers

It's got a handy 'check internet connection every 15 uses' auth system, too.

Interesting, but not any better for what I want than existing stuff.

Like the separation thingy in FL, it was also utterly confused by Bass VI. :hihi:

it is, indeed. but since version 5 a lot has changed, and every version, free update, introduces a lot, a lot, so much, that i sometimes have to relearn stuff, but from 6 to 7, it is more streamlined, than new things (although still a lot of new things).

so development is extensive, and also the updates....

but still Melodyne/SpectraLayers...

but has its own workflow, possibilities, great capabilities.

Hit N Skitz…
How many iterations of the Hit N Mix product now??
They really don’t seem to know what to do with it.

Just downloaded the 21-day trial, and I gotta say, WOW, this is powerful for pulling vox stems out of songs for remixes, etc
Brilliant too, I didn't even need a manual or tutorial. Very intuitive and results are QUICK. I think I'll have to spring for this one at $99. I mean, heck, I've been playing with it all day - I can see how it could be addictive!

Handiest features for me was I had jammed around figuring out a new song just acoustic guitar and vocal through one mic. I used the DAW to not only split guitar from voice but could also it told me what chords I had come up with.

Are you safe?

And to go further it would allow you to replace the guitar with another instrument or add ‘effects’ you cant do in a standard Daw

It is ARA compatible, so if you have an appropriate Daw you can load it up
