Thank you for making it an .exe file without installation. I appreciate that.
Is there a way to save the files into another directory than the default one?
And is there a way to alter the frequency of the waves? Eg. double/triple/xx the frequency of the waveforms?
Great manual btw. The table with all the different frame size & cycle counts is pretty handy. But do you have any idea which one to choose if I want to import "all frames" into DS Thorn (not a wavetable but spectrumtable synth)?

I wonder if there is a quantize feature for making PC Engine or Namco-style waves. I don't see a way to manually create waves by steps or editing harmonics.

- yes in a way, you can use the Sync2 or Sync3 shapers, see manual, they do as you described. If this is interesting we can add more Sync style shapers.
- second option is to use the "Double" wave shapes, these are two cycles in the space of one, so basically an octave up.
Non default directory:
- not with this version, but happy to add that to the next. the default directory is simply one the app can count on to have permissions for.
But do you have any idea which one to choose if I want to import "all frames" into DS Thorn (not a wavetable but spectrumtable synth):
- Not sure good question, maybe try in that case to experiment, if it can take the highest possible one (so 4096x512) that is of course the most detailed morph.

Yes, there are multiple shapers that quantize in the shapers section, in various ways for example the "Quantize", "Crusher", and "Blinds" shapers.Korg Supporter wrote: Sat Nov 16, 2024 5:57 pm I wonder if there is a quantize feature for making PC Engine or Namco-style waves. You can also get that kind of sizzling sound by involving noise wave shapes in the creation process.

I noticed some synths in the compatability list like KQ Dixie that don't use wavetables.

Just to note that we are aware of an issue of the app not loading on various Mac configurations.
We thought we could get away with notarisation for such a small tool, but that is not the case. We are on it and this will be resolved within the next couple of days.

We have now updated the application to version 1.1.0
With this update we have fixed the issue preventing the app from loading on some Mac systems, but in addition it comes with a number of great additional features. Of course, free update for all users, here is the full change log:
FIXED Issue loading the app on Mac
ADDED Second shaper stage for each wave
ADDED Main shaper stage for the final wave
ADDED 2 new wave shapes
ADDED 3 new shapers
ADDED 1 new interaction
IMPROVED Every wave shape stage can be individually randomized
IMPROVED Visualizer is much wider

Thorn cm(computer music) version each frame imports a single cycle wave of 256 samples,so 256x16 samples.but,in my tests importing as a wavetable didn't work.(edit:tested again,it works.imported a 256 samples sin in Audacity, repeated 15 times, exported as wav and imported into Thorn cm.but each frame you have to do "shift bin down" and "clear phase".)Halma wrote: Sat Nov 16, 2024 5:46 pm But do you have any idea which one to choose if I want to import "all frames" into DS Thorn (not a wavetable but spectrumtable synth)?
