Hi everyone, I have a question:
Is it true that the Pro FX plug-ins, such as the Ampire High Density Pack or the MixFX extensions, are not included in the perpetual license anymore, and that you also can't buy them separately?
Can I now only rent them through the subscription model?

The Pro+ Effects Plug-ins including all MixFX are not included. It does not say what they are, or whether Ampire is included with those. But my guess, and it is just a guess,is no. I find the whole thing very confusing. I just checked my version 6.6.4 and Ampire is still there, so maybe if you take out the yearly plan, which for some reason is $10 cheaper than the perpetual licence, you get to keep Ampire?

right
? its very confusing
for me this is a dealbreaker ,because there is no option anymore to purchase the addons ,
No matter which version you have, only the subscription version has all the plugins like high density addon mixfx plugins like retro etc.
this should be communicated more clearly

Don‘t confuse Ampire with Ampire High Density Pack! The latter is a paid Add-On (always has been) that was never included with the perpetual license. The standard Ampire is still part of the perpetual license. And while you can’t purchase it directly from Presonus anymore, there are still some shops who offer a download license. Quick Google search found this one:
https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/ ... _with.html
You could contact the shop beforehand if unsure.

I got the Studio One 7 perpetual upgrade in December, and it includes everything, it seems. But I just now saw some Summer Sale they're doing and the "Perpetual License" is $199.99, while the "Perpetual License with Pro+ Plan" is $179.99, which gives you a Perpetual License with annual access to Studio One Pro+ extras.
I *think* the more expensive one gives you all the things and nothing expires, except for your access to upgrades after 1 year. I *think* that's what I bought, but I'm not certain now, and I can't make sense of anything they're doing anymore.

Yes but I can now upgrade to a v7 perpetual license for $105. It seems they have, at some point, realised how alienating it was making everything look like a subscription and have responded. I may reward them by finally upgrading to v7, just to see if they've fixed any of the issues that cause Studio One to crash on me several times a day. (Fat chance!)

The free 30 day trial is still an option... don't fancy trying that first before splashing out.?BONES wrote: Mon Jun 02, 2025 11:49 pm Yes but I can now upgrade to a v7 perpetual license for $105. No, because if it doesn't work, it could be because I still have the old version installed. I'd rather uninstall the current version and do a clean install, so paying the $99 is less of a risk/hassle than uninstalling/reinstalling, finding out it doesn't work and then having to uninstall/reinstall again.
We isolated one issue to a single plugin, Ujam's VG-Iron 2, but Ujam were no more helpful than Presonus, each blaming the other and both pointing out that it works OK for everyone else. Iron-2 is so integral to dozens of our songs that we can't even think of ditching it, so I just put up with it.
I've had issues on Windows 10 and Windows 11 since version 5.0, right through to v6.7. I've been in touch with Presonus support on numerous occasions and they offer pretty much nothing. They suggest it is some issue unique to my set-up, yet it has persisted across half-a-dozen different computers and at least 4 different I/O devices. I think it is more that I don't use it the same way anyone else does but we inevitably get to the point where they run out of ideas and I just have to put up with it.
