We small developers need to know this to be able to focus our resources.

Please pick what what you are currenty using for synthesizer plugins. It is not about what you think will be used in the future; it is about what is being used by you now.

Please try not to argue here about the 'best' plugin format as there are already plenty of other threads for this purpose.

Thank you in advance!

VST3 mainly, still some VsT2 if there are no VST3 versions, some 32bit bridged plugins in Reaper

Mostly VST3, some are VST2, Depends on the Dev.

CLAP is my first choice.
Still using VST3 for most of my plugins because they don't come with a CLAP version.
Still using VST2 on a handful of plugins with no CLAP and a buggy VST3 version.

I wish JUCE had better integration and support for CLAP. So far I run into quite a few issues when developing CLAP versions.

:dog: I left a couple out and there's no way to change my vote!

Almost entirely VST2. VST3 is a classic case of people chasing it because it's newer, illogically thinking that means better. It offers little if anything for about 99.9% of users.

VST3 offers one big advantage for me...

ALL of the presets are saved in one folder,so backup is easy and saves a lot of time
No auto tune...
