Hey all,

I've been playing live with drum machines for years and always felt something
was missing - a way to control them fluidly and intuitively, like you would
with a real instrument rather than a sequencer.

BeatCrafter is my attempt at solving that. It's a free VST3 MIDI-only drum
pattern generator designed for live performance with a foot controller.
The idea: dial up intensity with your foot and let the plugin handle the
musical evolution of the pattern - from sparse to full, style-aware.

What's in v0.1.1:
- 8 style slots (Rock, Metal, Jazz, Funk, Electronic, Hip Hop, Latin, Punk)
- Intensity slider - morphs patterns from minimal to full in a musically coherent way
- Chaos - live jam randomness layer on top
- Surprise Me - LFO auto-pilot that varies intensity like a wave
- Triplet Mode - switches to triplet subdivision on the fly
- Humanize - velocity fluctuation + random omissions for a natural feel
- Full MIDI learn on everything
- No audio, no AI, no subscription - pure MIDI out to your drum VST

Here's a quick Sunday morning improv I recorded after spending yesterday
evening jamming with the plugin until late, then this morning fixing the
last bits of code. Modal psychedelic rock, coffee not yet kicked in.
Exactly the kind of session BeatCrafter was built for.

Happy to get feedback, especially on the pattern generation side -
there's still a lot of room to improve the musical coherence per style.
