I am most likely biased, but I do prefer Tal's J-8 Compared to Roland Cloud's JP-8.
Same with his Juno 60.
This makes me have no desire for an ACB Roland JX-8P..
I actually had access to a JX-8P over a summer when it was newish (a house guest brought one who was staying with us for the summer).. I actually didn't much like the hardware to be honest... but because this is so much easier to navigate etc and I have fallen in love with this one.
YMMV

Boy oh boy, I said my full attention goes to Swayed and the new CA Crumar BIT (if the best guess is true)..
But it all goes fock all out of the window now! Yes baby, JX-8P is in da haus!
And you know what.. Serves them RC slowpokes just right. You can't move like a 150-year old darn turtle these days. Unless you're a Ninja Turtle.
So up their ass very much. Arturia beat them to it with JP-8000, TAL with JX-8P, CA with Jupiter-6, what's next? Is there anything left that RC could blink?

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
You can be creative in any right place on Earth, and not only in the wealthiest cities. Bring the world feelings from everywhere, and not only feelings of capitalistic or jail environment.

Cherry Audio does also have that awesome SH on Steroids that has a lot of good 80s sounding presets onboard that i like and Tal does also have great Alpha Juno Emulation.SAGG wrote: Tue Mar 31, 2026 1:43 pm Boy oh boy, I said my full attention goes to Swayed and the new CA Crumar BIT (if the best guess is true)..

So i am not interested in more SH's or another Alpha Juno because of those 2 + i also have The Roland Cloud SH-101 and the Tal Bassline 101 and i like the Tal version more because it has more options.
Never been a fan of the 8P because it's so simple but i will try out the vst and see what i can get out of it and make sure that there is no overlap with what i already have and If i like what i hear i might hit the buy button

Well now, with the release of Audiority’s BF-2 emulation and TAL’s JX-8P emulation, I’m done. I don’t need any more plugins. They said it was impossible, but we have finally reached Peak Plugin.SAGG wrote: Tue Mar 31, 2026 2:14 pm where's jamcat? he got his BF-2 and JX-8P at last. this March it's yours, baby!
It’s over. Everyone can go home now. Thanks.

REQ: JX-8P, JX-10 and MKS-70 colour themes please!
Also setting up the JX-10 presets using two instances would be nice too...
Ace plugin - sounds great!
