I think I nabbed it for about half that when it was released a couple of years ago

I got a free NFR copy. CPU use is a bit insane.

I’d be interested if it wasn’t quite as expensive, and I didn’t already have so many synths.

Well, it's $149 right now and there's a rent-to-own option.

Still. Rent to own would tempt me for Serum or UVI Synth Anthology.

Sorry to ask this - Is it a Matt Tytel Style One Man Show ... post hype No-Show ... Synth? I'd be sceptical to burn 199,- for just finding it out. I need at least some indication of future-proofness to spend that amount.osiris wrote: Tue Apr 07, 2026 1:26 pm Nice demo

(But $199? Is that just standard VST pricing now?)

That's still gonna be a 'No' from me, dawg.

Indeed that places it slightly out of reach for me. The interface looks nice though and more accessible than a lot of regular FM synths.Chicken Drummy wrote: Tue Apr 07, 2026 10:13 pm$149?Danilo Villanova wrote: Tue Apr 07, 2026 7:53 pm Well, it's $149 right now and there's a rent-to-own option.

Now that the price has been nailed to the cross it will be hard if not impossible to drop it without offending those who took the plunge at $149.00.
Edit: After hearing the demo in more detail I have to say some of the sounds it creates are sublime.
Beware of the gatekeepers and attack dogs and stay safe.

Based on my questions about copy protection in the earlier thread viewtopic.php?p=8365183&hilit=protection#p8365183
Hopefully the same still applies, namely:
"As of v0.3.0 you only need to do an online unlock once."
(because prior to this it needed a persistent internet connection, and needed to call home every few months).
Anyway, if that still holds true, I'm going to consider the synth again...

@Seluvis Yes, I agree that Ghost FM is capable of some great sounds.
(Unfortunately even at the sale price it's still out of my price range at the moment.. but yeah, "sublime" is a good word to describe it. I do wish my wallet wasn't so thin!
