Krush2

Post

Hi everyone,

I’m happy to announce the release of Krush2.

Image

If you’re not familiar with Krush, it’s a multi-stage effect combining bit-depth reduction, sample-rate reduction, filtering, drive, modulation, and now compression. It can be used subtly to add texture and density, or pushed further for aggressive lo-fi destruction.

Krush2 is a rebuilt version of the original Krush, with reworked parameter handling, smoother parameter automation, and a range of new features.

It’s available on a pay-what-you-want basis, starting at 5€.
KrushPro licences also unlock Krush2 automatically.
The original Krush remains free and available as a legacy download.
Krush2 installs separately, so it won’t replace Krush in existing sessions or affect older projects.

What’s new in Krush2:
  • Two stereo LFOs with adjustable L/R phase offset
  • LFO rates up to 20 Hz
  • Sawtooth LFO waveforms
  • Comb and band-pass filters
  • Filter position switch (pre/post)
  • Improved drive with oversampling and character control
  • Downsampling jitter control
  • Bitcrushing dither control
  • One-knob compressor with Phat mode
  • Animated modulation feedback on the knobs

Hope you'll enjoy the update,

Beauty. It has been my go-to bitcrusher for years.
Doing nothing is only fun when you have something you are supposed to do.

Aside from the modulation, is there difference between Krush2 and Krush Pro?

Still loving Visu BTW - excellent spectral metering tool. Some day when I get time I'm going to demo the rest of the Tritik catalog.

Krush pro has a wavetable distortion section and frequency shifter/ring modulator effects it also has two separate filters for input and output.

It's great.

I'd love to see the comp from Krush 2 in Krush Pro.

Congratulations on the release! A great effect became even better
Amazing featureset for the price, and lovely GUI

Looks nice, but I'm happy with free version.

This is incredible! I use your KrushPro plugin a lot, so I'm excited to have this for free. I find your Echorus plugin to be one of the warmest-sounding chorus plugins ever, and it is somewhat comparable to the chorus on my Novation Peak (which I just made a new sound bank for). I hope that gets upgraded, too.

Thanks for this, it sounds great. I actually prefer to use it instead of Krush Pro due to the latter's latency. The drive is nice. And thanks for making it free for Pro owners :tu:

The new modulation + compressor addition actually feels like it’s pushing it more into “sound design processor” territory rather than just a bitcrusher, which is a smart evolution.

Curious if the drive/character section is still mostly static, or if there’s any level-dependent behavior in Krush2 now (like the kind of nonlinear response people were discussing in the tape thread). That’s usually the next step that makes these kinds of tools feel less “effect” and more “instrument.

Just a small heads-up: as previously noted on the product page, Krush2 could move to fixed pricing later this year.
Krush2 will now move from pay-what-you-want pricing to a fixed price of 10€ on July 1st.

Until then, licences remain available from 5€.
Existing licences will keep working as before, and a KrushPro licence will still unlock Krush2 automatically.
