Hi everyone,

It’s been about 2 weeks since the release of Majestic Grand, so just wanted to share a few updates and observations.

Image

For those who missed it, Majestic Grand is a hybrid piano instrument with 2 concert grands (Mega D & Bechstein Legacy), built from 394GB samples reduced to ~1GB using the Neo Piano Yosemite engine.

🔍 What we’re seeing so far

The main feedback has been around the balance between sound quality and workflow:

Loads very fast compared to large libraries
Small footprint (~1GB) but still retains detailed dynamics
More “alive” feel compared to static sample playback

The MIDI 2.0 support also seems interesting to people using newer controllers:

per-note expression
smoother dynamic transitions
higher resolution response
🎧 Piano Character Recap

Mega D (Virtuoso Grade)

More on the powerful / cinematic side
Wide dynamic range, strong attack

Bechstein Legacy (Maestro Grade)

More refined and controlled
Works well for classical / detailed playing

💬 Ongoing Goal

The idea behind Majestic Grand is still the same:

Trying to sit between:

huge sample libraries (great sound, heavy workflow)
fully modeled pianos (efficient, but sometimes lacking character)

So the focus is playability + efficiency + expressive detail in a practical size.
