I'm Stephen McLeod, aka allmyfriendsaresynths.
Inspired by the tracker-esque, per-step effect sequencing workflow that I love from OctaMED and the likes, I have created a loop mangling plugin to add variation and spice to well... err, your loops.
https://shop.allmyfriendsaresynths.com/ ... o-mangler/ (https://shop.allmyfriendsaresynths.com/product/loop-saboteur-audio-mangler/)
Features include:
* 26+ discrete effects including stutter, smear, stretch, pitch-shift, etc.
* Output stage settings with character inspired by classic hardware.
* Scale quantisation (applied to pitch, slide and Ring Mod).
* Multiple additional effects-specific settings accessible via right-click and Tools menu.
* Selective frequency processing (i.e. effects only applied to high/low frequencies).
* 8 individual scenes (named 'Acts') that can be switched on the fly or sequenced.
* Per Act chance and mix controls.
* Global wet-dry mix.
* 4 modulation sources per ACT, including LFOs, AHD envelope, envelope follower, and cross-modulation.
* DAW-synched step sequencer with up to 4 pages of 16 steps (64 steps total).
* Per-step ratchet, probability, freeze, mute, and parameter-locks.
* Full preset system.
* Colour-coded UI to indicate parameters targeted by modulation, p-lock, etc.
* Optional Waveform display.
I created this based on my experience with lots of different bits of hardware, to bring some of the workflow and effects I like to the DAW. It was built using AI tools with the JUCE framework, and is open source - licensed under the GPL.
It's available for Windows and Mac for a one time cost of £25. You can find more details on my site above - or in the video walkthrough below.
Or I guess... by asking here!
Thanks for taking a look.
