What kind of sound/instrument/patch is this?

New to sound design and am helping out our school for their Egyptian Themed Marching show. Looking for a synth or sound similar to this sound effect (Specifically the one at 0:02

"Egyptian" sounds are actually quite complex. They use tones we find harsh and the big thing is the Arabic type Scales they use 'sound' Egyptian in ways that C Maj just never will.
The easiest way is via a massive lieberry like Kontakt but once you understand the mindset behind the two factors above. Clarinets and Oboes are your friends, along with other woodwinds that you can layer up for that rich harmonic sound.
You can hear that effect here. It was using an Orchestral Lieberry alone but today I would just use synths. If you have a marching band, work with what tones you have available to create the illusion for people to feel - move to "Kings Of The Valley" 11:30
