What are your top 3 GForce synths?

Last week, sparked by the current sale, I went down a GForce rabbit hole. I picked up their OB-1 and it went from there. Suffice it to say, a lot of their latest updates and new oberheims and so forth really impress me.
So I'm curious what people's favorite GForce synths are.
I'm not affiliated in any way, just a victim of a recent GAS attack so to speak, which I'm actually thankful for. I'll never buy another plugin again, this time for real.
Poll list copy pasted in order they list them on GForce's site, and adding Imposcar 2 myself although it's legacy I still think it belongs as an option.

impOSCar 3 is the only one I have. It sounds great, and the pads are beautiful! It even has a few Underworld presets!

Hmm probably:
Axess
Oddity
Sem 8 voice
Imposcar and the others I have are up there.

I don't own any of them, sadly.
If I was about to buy only 3, they would be OB-E V2, Imposcar 3 and Oddity 3.
Unfortunately, I have enough synths already, so no more synth for me (for now...).

Trick question - impossible to decide.
SEM, OB-E, and TVS Pro all seem to have the same core sound, but each one has its own features that make them unique.
All the ones with XLFO's and XADSR's get me sounds that I'll really use.
Even the older Minimonsta2 gets me to places other minis can't.
I love the additive section of the impOSCars.
If your poll would be for favorite vsti company, GForce would be it hands down.
But favorite vsti from them? Nothing else works except 'all of them'.

Yeah it's definitely a tough call. The sound is among the best i've heard in softsynths, the playablility, the vector / layout of the gui's, the keeping true to the originals yet extending programming possibilities in ways that make sense, the ease of the mod system, price and quality of their upgrades, so on and so forth.felis wrote: Fri May 15, 2026 11:19 pm Trick question - impossible to decide.

Choose wisely people b/c I went w/ the 'can't change decision' option when making the poll so no mulligans. I'm going to see if I can vote here myself.
Oddity3 out in front to the early lead, interesting.

Sem is a good call, sounds amazing.
I'm surprised not to see Halogen on the board, I nearly went with it but changed my mind at the last moment.
I also think an argument can but made for Imposcar2 over 3, there's something about vers. 2 that sounds perfect to my ears.

OB-E's interface is genius. You can edit the voices like a single synth, then switch back to tweak them individually. It's an easy way to add spice to looped parts.

It's really hard as they're one of my favorite developers.
OB-X, OB-E, and Oddity 3. It's really OB-X and then there could be be several others for the other two slots. There isn't one I don't like.

A lot I haven’t tried but Oddity 3 has the same raw feel and the same filter sound I remember from the ARP Axxe. The Odyssey is so underrated next to the minimoog when it’s got a way superior vibe for my tastes. This vst got me back into trying out a lot of what’s currently available and picking up a few things, and when I go back to the Oddity it has a better signature sound and raw sound than most things available.
Same pretty much goes for OB-E. It’s a behemoth and just sounds so good. It’s got a real analog sound (ya I said it) and then just gets layered to hell and sounds great. I’m not adept at programming it yet but they obviously put some thought into the group and offset controls so you can control all 8 voices. If I think this synth is hard to program, I guess the real thing would be harder. The Unison and Portamento both sound excellent as well imo. Maybe because you can latch the Portamento to the upper or bottom layer, so you always have some options.
Only other I really want is the mellotron. As far as I can tell, it’s the best one out there, and I love the sound of the mellotron. I’ll probably get the pro version but skip the million add-ons they have.
Only downside to Gforce oberheims is there’s so many with the same base parts. It feels like you really only need OB-E and some of the others are just if you love it so much you sometimes want a simplified version (or 3 or 4) to go with it. But after writing about OB-E’s complexity, or maybe just unusual nature, maybe some of them are actually useful to have.
That said about too many oberheims, a Matrix 12 that sounds as good as OB-E would be picked up me for sure at some point. Although that one seems like an even bigger pain to program, it’s got a great sound if they can replicate it.

OB-E v2. VSM IV.
Think I’ve ended up deleting the rest (don’t have the Mellotron thingy). I like Axxess better than Oddity3, and TVSPro is good, too. Imposcsr3 is good. I kind of fell in love with them and then fell out of love. One of the synths (OB-1?) gave me a headache to look at so I never bought it, and MAP lost its way, to me.

That's funny b/c I've recently fallen in love with them after not using the ones I had for awhile all that much. Sound quality to functionality ratio might be the best in the biz. Arturia are good to play right away but soundwise don't do it for me. Other synths sound great but aren't as immediate; something about Gforce's are the most instrument like and user friendly to me, at least in a songwriting context. Sound designers will have different goals and needs I suppose.
That's also funny re: OB-1 b/c before I saw your post I thought based on the results it's the most underrated so far, so maybe that's one explanation why. OB-1 was one of my picks. Sounds on par with the best of them and it's range of sound surpasses most, other than maybe Oddity.

I enjoy using SEM and Axxess the most. They sound great of course, but I like their simplicity. I also have Oddity 3 and OB-X, but Oddity still has unfixed bugs and a UI that I find annoying, and I never really gelled with OB-X, mostly because of its weird envelope behaviour.

I personally own OB-E, OB-X, TVS, and Halogen. Of those, the OB-E has the best sound for me. It has a beautifully warm analog sound. The OB-X is also great for creating beautiful pads.
What surprises me a bit is that the ImpOSCar has so many votes in the poll. I’ve never really taken a closer look at this synth before. I think I should try out the demo version.
