Hello,
how to create with Operator or the Wavetable from Ableton the sound, which KLF used for their melody in What time is love? ? Or exist an tutorial for it, how to create?
I read, that they used a Oberheim OB-8 for it. But I won't to buy extra an VST only for one sound.

No, the sound what is used for the (arpeggiator) melody, what you hear at first.

303 and OB8, the latter playing the higher saw tooth sound. It's a simple enough sound you can make on any VA subtractive synth.
Don't use Ableton do can't give much direction there.

Yeah, and if you're using Ableton I'd suggest using Analog as a starting synth over Operator and WavetableSeafire Mk2 wrote: Tue May 19, 2026 2:23 pm It's a simple enough sound you can make on any VA subtractive synth.

Hmmm... wish to have an tutorial, that I can see how to create it. I'm not very good into creating sounds and if I want to make one, I need to see that. At least I can adjust the basics and the finer points by myself.
For the TB-303 I have ABL3 (one of my fav vst).
But first, thanks for your answers.
