The gap between "I've got a folder of great loops and one-shots" and "it's actually ready to upload to a marketplace" is pretty vast. Designing the sounds is the fun part. The part that eats an afternoon is everything after — leveling, checking for clipping/DC/dropouts, naming everything consistently, embedding loop points + metadata, exporting the right formats, building a demo. SampleStudio does that part.
What Is SampleStudio?
A Windows desktop app (+ a headless CLI) that turns a folder of raw samples into a marketplace-ready pack:
- QC gate — checks every sound for loudness (LUFS/BS.1770), clipping, true-peak, DC offset, dropouts, mono-compatibility, and near-duplicates. It tells you whether a pack is actually ready to sell
- One-click auto-fix — corrects the safe, deterministic stuff (DC offset, levels) across the whole pack and flags the rest for you. Your source files are never modified.
- Naming + metadata — consistent, spec-correct filenames, plus embedded ACID / bext / smpl metadata, root note, tempo, and clean loop points (snapped to zero-crossings).
- Formats — WAV + AIFF at the right bit depth/rate, a contents sheet, and an auto-built beat-synced demo montage of the pack.
- Assistive detection — key/BPM/type are auto-detected as suggestions; it never overwrites a value you've set by hand.
Not a synth, not a sampler, not an AI generator. And the important one: the automated pipeline never alters your creative content — no pitch-shift, no time-stretch, ever. It only trims, fades, normalizes, names, and packages. What you made is what ships. (There's a manual waveform editor for finishing edits when you actually want them.)
Why I'm posting
It works on my packs — I need it tested on yours. I'm after sound designers / sample-pack producers, whatever you sell on (Splice, Loopmasters, Beatport, your own store), to run real material through it and tell me where it falls down: odd naming conventions, metadata a DAW reads wrong, edge cases, friction.
The Beta
- Windows desktop app + CLI (the macOS/Linux engine is tested, but the app is Windows-only for now).
- Invite-only, signed installer, and it auto-updates as I ship fixes.
- Direct line to me — you report it, I turn it into a fix.
It's a release candidate, so expect a few rough edges. That's the point.
Reply here, DM me, or email info@vybeco.de and I'll send you an invite code + the link.
PS written by me lol, any beta testers (we only need 5 - 2 for mac OS, 2 linux and one for windows) get the app for free permanently.
Cheers,
Courtney
