Hi KVR. Launching Grainsmith Field today on the App Store.Grainsmith Field is a granular synth for iPad and iPhone. It shares the C++ granular engine with the desktop Grainsmith plugin but is designed from scratch for multitouch: one screen, four XY performance pads, a Morph macro, and a waveform you work with directly. A lot of effort went in to reducing the complexity of the desktop plugin to make it more playable while retaining the full sonic capabilities.

In addition to the core granular playback features, you can record in both one-shot and LIVE MODE. Capture audio from your mic or hardware input and granulate it in real time.
It works great as an AUv3. Loads in AUM, Logic for iPad, or your host of choice. Parameters are all exposed for host automation and MIDI learn, with full state save and restore with the session.
Also: it has a four-voice MIDI Instrument mode, factory presets, background audio, and built in effects (reverb, filter).
