Hi
Well I am new here and I usualy don't write any reviews. But Yesterday I found some VST in "underground" and somehow Iwas really supprised. It calls Polymorph

I've been experimenting with **Polymorph** recently and thought it deserved a mention here because I don't see many people talking about it.

At first glance it looks like it's aimed mainly at metal players, but don't let the interface fool you. One of the biggest surprises for me was how good the clean sounds are. They're clear, dynamic and very usable, not just the high-gain tones.

What I really like is that it's built around the **Neural Amp Modeler (NAM)** ecosystem (A2), but it goes much further than the standard NAM plugin. With the standalone NAM plugin I always found myself loading separate plugins for pedals, IRs and other effects. Polymorph integrates everything into a single workflow, which makes it much more enjoyable to use.

Another feature I love is the built-in small internal DAW . So you can drop in drums, bass or a backing track, or just capture an idea the moment it hits you

The library management is also incredibly simple. Download your captures from Tone3000, extract them into the appropriate folders under **Documents/Polymorph** (NAM, PedalNAM or IR), and they're immediately available inside the plugin. No database rebuilding or complicated importing process.

Performance has been excellent on my system, and the overall workflow feels polished despite the project still being under active development. The developer is constantly improving it, fixing bugs and adding new features, which is always great to see.

Another thing worth mentioning is the pricing model: **pay what you want**. I think that's a fantastic approach because anyone can try it, and if you enjoy it you can support the developer with whatever amount you feel it's worth.

I've genuinely been impressed by Polymorph. If you're already using NAM, I think it's well worth checking out because it provides a much more complete and integrated experience. Hopefully more people will try it, support the developer and share feedback to help shape future versions.

Also graphical it looks very good. But like I said don't be fooled by the metal optic ;) It works perfect in most every styleImage

It is getting very interesting . This system got a a very small but extremely useful new tool Today . What does it do? It automates the entire rendering process.
For example, you may have other VST plugins that you want to capture for your NAM-compatible pedals, create new tones for Polymorph, or improve a NAM file you have downloaded.
Normally, you would need to import the sweep signal into your DAW, trim the files manually, and adjust the rendering levels one by one. With this tool, everything is handled automatically.
There are four slots where you can build any signal chain you want. For example:
OD + VST plugin + EQ + IR
You can render the entire chain as one file, or render only OD + VST + EQ and then train it using your Tone3000 account.
More detailed information is available in the manual.
Cheers!

This is what the creator wrote today (not me). it is getting more and more interesting
It seems that the author isn't limiting the tool to simply "capturing an amp model." They're thinking much more broadly:

* You can capture entire effect chains.
* You can improve existing models.
* You can create your own tones for Polymorph.
* You don't need a separate DAW to prepare the captures.

It feels more like a complete model creation factory than just a simple capture tool.

What is this "underground" of which you type?

By "underground" I didn't mean anything illegal. 🙂 I meant the community of independent developers and small open-source projects that often fly under the radar. People who build interesting tools simply because they're passionate about them, often for free or on a pay-what-you-want basis, without a marketing budget or a big company behind them.

I really enjoy discovering those kinds of projects because they often come up with unconventional ideas that you don't see in mainstream commercial software. I think they deserve a lot more recognition than they usually get.
