Hi everyone,
I’d like to share a small project I’ve been working on: a standalone LUFS tool designed for fast and reliable loudness normalization of audio files. The application analyzes the loudness of each file and then adjusts it to a target LUFS value using a two‑step process. It also includes true peak limiting to prevent clipping and ensure clean results. Since it works as a standalone Windows application, it’s especially useful for batch processing large folders of audio files for podcasts, audiobooks, YouTube content, or music pre‑production.
The tool offers presets for common loudness targets such as –18 LUFS for podcasts, –14 LUFS for streaming platforms, and –23 LUFS for EBU R128. Everything runs offline without cloud processing or subscriptions. I’d really appreciate feedback from the community regarding the accuracy of the loudness measurement, the behavior of the limiter, performance with large batches, and ideas for future improvements.
If you’re curious, you can find more information and a download on horhaeuser.com (copy/paste into browser). I’m looking forward to hearing your thoughts and discussing possible enhancements.
Best regards,
Andreas

Why not compare your LUFS tool with the Bute Loudness Normaliser? Then you'll know what your tool might still be missing.
