I really like the new Zoom buttons in the v1.3.0 beta, but I find them a bit difficult to use as I would expect.I think I have got it right below, apologies if I haven't.
In the Arrange window:
- the left and right zooms operate around the current song position,
- but the whole grid jumps around,
- (FR1) I think that the current song position should stay still and the grid expand/contract either side of it (in the same way as rolling the mouse wheel in the song position lane does).
- the middle zoom seems to operate relative to the start of the track,
- so the grid can jump a lot
- (FR2) should this zoom also work around the current song position?
In the pop-up editors:
- all three zoom buttons seems to operate from the start of the track, so the piano roll jumps around
- (FR3) should this zoom also work around the current song position?
(FR4) And, I think there needs to be an upper limit to the number of bars (10,000?, that is 5.5 hours at 120bpm). Currently you can zoom out and go well above this number of bars: the song position ticker is wrong (with negative numbers) and you cannot click successfully in the song position lane.
(FR5) While I am here, I'd like to make another plea for the song position ticker to be able to show minutes:seconds:milliseconds (hours are not needed, it is just as easy to show, say 61 minutes, 240 minutes etc)
(BR) In the Audio pop-up Editor, after some zooming using the left and right zoom buttons, the song position divisions can get out of alignment with the beat shadings in the grid

Can the middle zoom button do another action when not dragged, i.e. just clicked:
Zoom to show the entire song, it will be much easier to unselect everything and do ctrl+, at least a short cut for zooming the entire song without the need to unselect

Will the song position stay still too?
