Hi guys,
I've been playing with Stylus RMX, and have been into .rx2 files lately. I have a couple of questions that perhaps some people here could answer.
First, is there a way of exploring a refill, and taking out the REX files for something else? There are a great many refill CD's I'd be interested in if that was the case.
Second, is it only Recycle that can manufacture a REX file? I'm reluctant to pay full whack for a program when all I'd be doing is fairly basic low-end audio chopping.
Thirdly, can you fellows recommend some REX sample CD's? Does anyone have the ZeroG or AMG titles? What are they like?
It strikes me that the RMX community is a potential new goldmine to any REX file seller; any companies you know of pitching their goods at us?
Recycle Lite?

Unfortunately Reason is the only program that can read refills and there is no way to extract the Rex files from it.
I believe there are a couple of other programs that can write the mono rex files, but only recycle can create the rex2 stereo files.

Have a look at http://www.squarecircle.co.uk
There are two programs there that will chop up loops, mono or stereo, and convert them to individual sound files key-mapped with a MIDI file.
Which is what Recycle does.
However, squarecircle's apps do much more than that. And they're cheaper too
