Hey there,

we've just released the W1 Limiter plug-in (code by George Yohng, GUI by BetabugsAudio)

The BetabugsAudio edition of George Yohng's W1 takes the same spectacular limiting engine and gives it a new interface. The W1 interface follows the BetabugsAudio tradition of simplicity and elegance, while providing an inspiring appearance that matches the plug-in's form to its function. looks cool, tho i miss a visualisation that indicates if limiting applies or not.

mmmm... this is a good point... but we at BetabugsAudio believe in using your ears instead of eyes...

after all it's music and not film

hehe, wouldn't that also render the entire ui concept useless?

anyway, cool limiter - one to keep for sure!

well I don't want to be a complet fuckwit (or was it nitpick) but there's a difference between knobs that look pretty and a visual-led-or-something.... well no there isn't I guess... erm..

what I wanted to say is that somepeople (myself included) tend to use the visualization instead of their eears to determine if it's limited enough/good/toomuch

but then I remembered me reading GuitarWorld back in the days and copying the knob positions of Jerry Cantrell to myy own stompboxes....

well I don't think it will happen with this plug-in but a MacOSX VST is likely ...well..possible (as you can already download the GUIless MacVST version over at yohng.com)

Yeah I know about the Mac VST version, but my host is AU only, and I don't have (or particularly want) FXP's adapter.
