I'm not even sure myself if this is music. But it's interesting. It's a solo performance on my lap steel (industrial guitars - check it out) made as "danish pastry". That is split in half, fold, stretch, repeat ad nauseam. There's no start or finish. That's not the point.

I hope you enjoy it, wonder about it. I quite like it's meditative, yet disturbing character.

Please comment.

Neat piece of six string mangling. Wonderfull how these beasts can make unearthly sounds. I got a homemade lapsteal and now I know what to do with it. 8)

This is most definitely music. Really good music. Excellent in fact. 'Meditative, yet disturbing' was an apt description. This is only the second track of yours that I've heard, but just that is enough to make me very happy that you're a part of the Saligia project.
I really like the sort of 'rusty cable' feeling you've created here - a real sense of decay that gets under the skin quite effectively.

Took awhile on my work dial-up to grab, but oh man, this is GREAT!! I LOVE the motion in the stereo field..Calling that pan modulation is a one-dimensional insult.

This is crazy good. I always look forward to hearing your material..

How the hell did you do this?

Hi D.

This is one of those few tracks that takes forever to figure out, but now time to execute.

In this case: A couple of months (thinking). 30 minutes (to execute). It's a solo lap steel performance of a 100 bars at a 100 bpm. Then cut in half, second half reversed, panned, stretched to a 100 bars etc. ad nauseum. Thats it. Promise. But I'm more than pleased myself. And this can go into my Monochrome album, that I'm making.

Thanx alot for the very nice comment!

Thanx!

One criticism:

Make some sort of fade-in & out so the initial experience isn't as harsh for the listener. I understand you have no start or finish, but try & manufacture one for purposes of sharing in the cafe.

the textures were great. the sonic quality of the piece was such that I found appealing. I can't comment on the panning ATM, because one of my ears isn't working. once the wax drains off the drum and I can hear again, I'll give it another listen to comment on the panning.

was that better?

The motion in this material is unreal.
