Ok, I'm trying to find some way I can get ideas down quick, then move 'em into my DAW for detail work and enhancement. I've been looking at the Korg Electribe EMX-1 and the Roland SP-505, but I'm not sure if either would work out...

Does anyone here start music on hardware and then bring it into your DAW, and if so, what do you use? I'm kind of clueless...

Why do I need to do this? Because my DAW also functions as my 3D animation machine and I'd like to work on tunes when it's rendering.. and I DON'T want a second computer!!!!!
