Sometimes the paste position was not where i expected - (Snap was on and=4)
For example i coped one part (at bar 5.1.000), clicked at bar 7.1.000 on another track and pasted it, the part was placed at 10.3.000.
I clicked at bar 7.1.000 again and pasted it again, the part was placed at 11.1.000,
I did not believe my eyes, so I clicked again at bar 7.1.000 and pasted it once more. This time the part was placed at 12.1.000,
Whoah! There is definitely something amiss here.
This Sequencer is the same one with the Copy between Sequencers and the Shift+Enter problems.

The part will be pasted at the mouse position.

this does not always happen , especially when playback is on it can be that the copied data is misplaced .jorgen wrote:The part will be pasted at the mouse position.

is rather seldom though and happens here at least only inside midi parts copying/pasting notes .

This is an odd one but it seems that parts are pasted at mouse position plus the number of bars not displayed on the time line.
If you are scrolled all the way to the left so that bar one is visible parts paste correctly, as you scroll to the left and the first visible bar number changes it seems to paste at the mouse position plus the number of hidden bars.
I'd like to see this corrected so that it was mouse position regardless of the displayed bars. It's almost impossible to paste into large projects.
Dragging parts is my preferred workaround.

MRT -good catch.
Yep, that explains what I saw, I had scrolled right a bit, and different amounts each time. (And it explains why I could not repeat it on Saturday, I hadn't scrolled the window, so it was on bar 1.1.000)
Would be good to see it fixed, as drag-copying is not always a practical solution.

BRump - still a problem.
Makes working "down the track" (that is, when the track start is not in the window) awkward
