Parallel Minds has released Reverie, a standalone desktop application that transforms any audio file into evolving ambient soundscapes.
Users can import an audio file (WAV, MP3, FLAC, M4A, OGG, AIFF), select a style, and generate up to 30 minutes of non-repeating ambient music in a single click. Each generation produces a unique result, with seed control available for reproducible outputs.
Reverie chains together 38 audio processing modules including phase-vocoder time-stretching (Paulstretch-based), spectral freeze, spectral blur, shimmer reverb, formant shifting, tape saturation, and stochastic synthesis. These are organized into 19 styles and 15 artistic presets.
The application runs fully offline with no DAW required. All generated audio can be used commercially.
