PSPaudioware Releases PSP Levelizer - Auto-Fader Level Control with Sidechain EQ and Brick-Wall Limiter

-
PSPaudioware

PSP Levelizer is an auto-fader processor from PSPaudioware that holds a consistent output level while leaving the natural dynamics of a source intact. Rather than reducing peaks above a threshold the way a compressor does, an auto-fader rides gain to track a reference level, which makes it better suited to leveling tasks where the goal is a steady result without the audible artifacts of fast dynamics processing.

The plugin works on internal or external sidechain. In internal mode it tracks the signal against an intelligent reference level and applies gain to keep the source sitting where it should. In external mode it makes a track follow a separate signal, which opens up level-control techniques that a standard threshold-based dynamics processor cannot do, including sidechain-controlled gain automation and mix-responsive vocal riding.

Detection is shaped by an integrated sidechain EQ with Shape EQ and Bell EQ sections, letting the detector focus on specific frequencies so the gain action responds to the part of the signal that matters. PSPaudioware lists three reaction modes: Sharp for fast transient control, Normal, and Smooth for gentle gain riding closer to a manual fader pass. Response timing and action characteristics are adjustable on top of the mode selection, and multiple lookahead ranges let the detector be set appropriately for tracking, mixing, or mastering.

Gain range limits are adjustable with optional soft boundaries, which constrains how far the processor will push or pull level and keeps it from overreacting on dense or transient-heavy material. For output protection the plugin includes a brick-wall limiter with adjustable drive, ceiling, and release, plus stereo linking options.

PSPaudioware positions PSP Levelizer across a wide set of applications: vocal and dialogue leveling, bass and instrument consistency, drum and percussion control, broadcast and post-production, and mastering preparation. The lookahead and reaction controls are intended to be optimized per situation rather than locked to a single use case, which is what lets one tool cover live sound through to mastering.

Features

  • Auto-fader level control with intelligent reference-level tracking.
  • Internal or external sidechain operation.
  • Three reaction modes: Sharp, Normal, and Smooth.
  • Adjustable response timing and action characteristics.
  • Sidechain filtering with Shape EQ and Bell EQ sections.
  • Multiple lookahead ranges.
  • Adjustable gain range limits with optional soft boundaries.
  • Brick-wall output limiter with adjustable drive, ceiling, release, and stereo linking.
  • Preset management system.

Pricing

PSP Levelizer is $60 but available now for a special introductory price of $49 USD until June 30th, 2026.

The plugin runs on Windows and macOS in VST2, VST3, AU and AAX plugin formats, including both Intel and Apple Silicon, and authorizes through iLok with no hardware dongle required. Activation allows three separate locations across computers or iLok dongles.

A free 30-Day Demo is available.
