PSPAudioware has announced the release of PSP DRC, a new dynamic processor plugin. It draws inspiration from the DBX 118, though it's not a direct emulation, but rather an expanded take on the classic concept, adding features for modern music production.
PSP DRC allows for both compression and expansion across the entire dynamic range, letting you specifically manage signals above or below the threshold. It also includes a complementary compressor-expander pair function, achieved by setting the ratio to 2:1 for compression and 1:2 for expansion. With advanced sidechain features and external sidechain support, PSP DRC functions as a full compander system.
