OneShot is a drum sampler and percussive workstation, specifically designed for one-shots (single strike samples). Every detail in the workflow design and sound quality has been given a lot of care and consideration, making OneShot a percussion powerhouse that is both fun to play, excellent sounding and stuffed with purposeful and easy-to-use features.
How does it work?
OneShot has a brand new developed and highly innovative sample playback engine that gives you complete control over your samples while still staying flexible. Each sound slot comes with its own mixer channel, allowing you to tweak effects and adjust levels. Plus, with support for multi-output, you can take your sound even further by processing individual channels in your DAW.
At its core, OneShot revolves around Slots, that are activated by Triggers. A Slot consists of one or multiple audio files, for example a snare with several samples of different velocity. The Triggers are mapped to MIDI notes and contain individual envelopes, humanize settings and more. A Slot can be activated by several Triggers, and since each Trigger has its own unique settings, you can use the same Slot over several Triggers adding useful variation, including the smart Humanize function which sets how much the playback of the sound should be randomized each time the note is played.
A Slot in OneShot is its own channel in the internal mixer, where
one can add effects, change pitch, pan, volume and send
parallel signals to two busses. The two busses and the main output also has two effect slots each. OneShot comes with a quite large set of effects like EQ, Compressor, Delay, Reverb(s), Distortion and stereo widening that can be inserted to any channel, bus or output. OneShot also supports multi-output, where each channel can be routed to separate host output channels for further processing in the DAW.
What's new in OneShot2?
* In addition to the original OneShot audio engine, a Motion Engine is added. This motion engine allows the user to create phrases that breathe and evolve over time. Thanks to this completely unique feature, anyone can craft timed cymbal swells, shaker figures, foley movements, and virtually any rhythmic sound that you can think of. There also a companion iPhone app available on the App Store that lets you control the Motion engine directly with your hand! Engage the External sync mode when playing a motion sound and you're now dictating the sound directly with your iPhones accelerometer.
* Massive addition of sounds! OneShot2 introduces a large collection of new presets and sounds, taking advantage of the new Motion Engine, but also greatly expanding the already extensive collection of multi-sampled percussive sounds. Among the new factory sounds of OneShot2 you'll find a new Studio Kit - great for all kinds of modern music that craves some acoustic drums. Also a brand new Jazz Brush Kit, rich in nuance and character. You will also find a large collection of new percussion instruments, nature sounds and other rhythmic stuff, all making use of the new Motion engine.
* Stack triggers: Makes it possible to play several triggers using one MIDI note. Each trigger can have separate settings for time and modulated velocity.
* New effects.
Reverb2: An easy to use, fantastic sounding reverb unit. The reverb is built on our beloved Walls algorithm, that was released in 2025.
Transient adder: By adding this transient effect, we brought a tool that can give that missing punch, or simply add tonal character to your audio. Based on our popular plugin Fosfat.
Unstereo: This tool is for narrowing sounds that are too wide, giving you spatial control and comes in handy when trying to create a balanced mix.
