overdub STUDIO is a focused voiceover DAW from pegelWERK, built for one job: adding voice to video and getting a broadcast-ready result fast, without a studio and without a sound engineer. It fits news packages, sports highlights, corporate films and service pieces, and as of version 1.1.1 also audio-only work like podcasts and audiobooks.

The idea is simple. Load the video, speak, done. Most of the work happens automatically.

BUILT-IN PROMPTER, on both macOS and iPad. The script scrolls with your voice, so you stay on the line instead of scrubbing for it. The speech recognition language can be set independently from the interface language.

AUTO EDIT. Pauses are removed while you record. Misspoke? Set the in-point and speak the line again, with a short pre-roll to get back into rhythm.

AUTO AUDIO. Your voice is processed automatically to a clear, even, broadcast level. No channel-strip tweaking, no manual gain riding.

AUTO MIX. Voice, music and the original sound are balanced in one click at R128 broadcast loudness, with true-peak headroom for any delivery target.

NEW IN 1.1.1. An audio-only mode for podcasts and audiobooks with no video required. On-device neural noise removal (DeepFilterNet 3) for clean sound with no external plug-in and no upload. A manual channel strip (Monitor, Noise, Comp, Air, Body) for full control when you want it.

EXPORT embeds the finished mix straight into the source video, ready to air. MXF source files keep their integrity end to end on macOS.

overdub STUDIO runs as a macOS Standalone (one-time licence, online activation, two devices) and as an iPad app on the App Store (monthly or yearly subscription). It is part of the pegelWERK line alongside broadcast METER, mini METER, loudness CORRECT, easy EDITOR and instant PLAYER.
