Distortion is a harmonic enhancement plugin that delivers studio-quality multiband distortion and adaptive peak clipping with artifact-free processing. Featuring 16x oversampling, a gain-based frequency splitter, and an Adaptive Peak Clipper that smooths the signal before clipping to eliminate foldback aliasing, it provides musical harmonic generation across four optimized frequency bands. The clipper uses pre-clip low-pass filtering, an exponential soft-clip compression curve, and automatic high-frequency restoration to deliver clean, musical peak shaping for mix bus glue, drum processing, and loudness maximizing. Includes presets for both multiband distortion and clip modes, from subtle warmth to extreme saturation.
