FadeLab builds free, open-source audio analysis tools. Our first release is Phantom, a toolkit that measures what's hard to catch by ear: spectral balance, loudness (EBU R128), dynamics, phase coherence, stereo imaging, and frequency masking between stems. 17 tools total, all running locally on your machine.

We started Phantom because we kept running into the same problem during mixing sessions. You hear something's off, but you can't pin down whether it's a phase issue, a masking conflict, or just a buildup around 300 Hz. Phantom gives you the numbers so you're not guessing. No subscriptions, no cloud uploads. It's AGPL-licensed and always will be.
