OK..... It is a little bit nasty....
This plug sounds incredible good, but, as I am not really a sounddesigner I prefer starting with presets tweaking them to my needs. Nuklear does not have much of them. OK, that is not really frustrating. but in the factory bank i found one that totally overran my CPU which is an i7-3770. 1 instance of Nuklear with the one wrong preset made my PC lay down. For 170 bucks it is a no-go. In my opinion there are better deals at this price. This thing is nice to have but I prefer ElectraX or Razor and like this I would recommend to nearly everyone.
Read ReviewIn my opinion, Nuklear by Hamburg Audio is an exciting new VSTi that carves out it's own niché. To my ears it's certainly not analog, but in all fairness it's not trying to be analog. It is, however, a really tasty sounding digital synthesizer that reminds me of the wavetable stuff, i.e. Wavestation, PPG, and the underrated plugin called Kubik. I like the cool blue GUI. It's futuristic and easy to look at. Maybe the browser items could be a little bigger, but all-in-all I enjoy launching this thing. The step sequencer is helpful and the envelopes and oscillators are sweet. More presets. .. that's what we need. Hopefully 3rd party sound designers will jump on this explosive soft synth and help lazy bums like me have access to more great sounds! Unless you are doing all electronica stuff this might not be your "go to" synth for basic tracks; yet, it will be the plugin you launch for the fun stuff that makes your tracks stand out! Thank you Hamburg Audio for designing something fresh for my ears. .. and eyes!
Note: It seems this fine synth has been sidelined.
