Previously known through alex @ smartelectronix, the original creator of the GalactiX VSTi, and later active on KVR Audio under the name SoundModeler, the project has a long history within the independent audio software community. In addition to GalactiX and its updated versions, SoundModeler also developed other audio creativity tools and experimental music software.

Today, SonicModeler continues this direction with the updated GalactiX and a new generation of synthesizers designed for modern music production and advanced sound exploration.
