Igor Pavlov. A Russian sound engineer, arranger and sound producer.
I graduated from the Saint Petersburg State University of Film and Television where I later taught courses on "Recording music of modern genres" and "Instruments and methods of sound processing".
I have recorded music of various genres, styles and directions, such as sympho-jazz, folk, rock, pop, romance, vocals, solo instrumental, and choir singing. I was a member of the Leningrad Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting, a group of sound engineers who collaborated with SONY on a project of recording ballets.
It was a great honor for me to record the 1997 concert of Dave Brubeck at the Grand Hall of the Moscow Conservatory (Symphony orchestra, choir, three soloists-vocalists and the Dave Brubeck Quartet) and the concert of Wynton Marsalis and Lincoln Center Orchestra at the Concert Hall "Russia" in 1998. These recordings formed the basis for documentaries made by my American colleagues.
