Great to hear David, thanks for replying and I will keep an eye out for that (perhaps Mac version news can be included in the Audiobulb Newsletter in case I miss it?) :)

Hope to get a chance to preview your album tonight :D

it was not working

+ people were saying different sounds needed diff presets there was not a one fits all preset ...

Oh my f*ck, this thing is nuts (that's a good thing)
Why not finally ruin the promise of your early directorial career by releasing what appears to be a big-budget remake of Mortal Kombat with the word 'Bender' in the title?

ok i am really trying to get a sound I like but am struggling.

not sure where I am going wrong.

if anyone has any settings on the dials that create some good sounds please share.

thanks

+1!!!

@room: Your website is one of the coolest in content, I'm glad I discovered it some months ago. I bought a few songs on iTunes from Inscription [NQ] and Supple [Craque]. Darned good stuff. Thank you for being different... in other words, being part of my favorite genre: IDM/glitchtronica!

I'll let Craque & NQ know about your reaction to their work.

The artist who grabs everyone is Ultre!

I'm getting plenty of inspiration from using this neat little module :) Here is a quick example of something I started on last night. Three sounds created by Ambient which I have layered up in Live 8 to give a nice evolving ambient drone effect http://soundcloud.com/savaran/hiraeth

Can I use it as an example of AMBIENT's capabilities?

This is what I did with Ambient and Alchemy. The original samples was a sample from my coffee machine and from a little toy thingy.

wow - intense :) I love the coffee peculator sound - its featured in a few of my own tracks - great to see/hear you are into as well.

AMBIENT seems to be getting some nice results for people. Chris and myself are really pleased.

Hahahahahaha is a stupid little coffeemachine. It makes really hard and strange noises (but good coffee).

I love Ambient. It remainds me of GrainCube. A freeware Reaktor Ens:

+1 or at least a Mac version?

Post

I just purchased this instrument. I've already been able to make cool sounds with it. It's a great way to make samples I can then use in other synths, or
with some creativity I could create samples to mix into songs with it.
This is the kind of easy-to-use device that will serve me in good stead--like IXI software's Slicer, it's not burdened with the freight of the analog past--that is, you don't have to pretend it's a vintage casio synth or anything to understand how to use it. The graphic design is instead very simple--load up a sample, tweak little round buttons, change the sound. A random key is provided for those who prefer to experiment with the random and enjoy the resulting sounds.

I know I have a lot to learn yet, and it may have more features I'm missing, but this seems to me already to have a lot of potential for making music and drone samples.
