If I put Fog Convolver in front of Blackhole, then the Blackhole reverbs the convolved tails from the convolver making a really nice and different kind of soundscape. Really though any convolver would work I suppose. I just happen to have Fog Convolver.martinjuenke wrote:What makes fog convolver so special for you?larslentz wrote:U-he Triple Cheese, Eventide Blackhole, Fog Convolver, and Dust. These all make nice ambient sounds, with Blackhole being the shining star in that field. Absynth is nice too as is Serum if patched correctly.

Here below is a link to a video on my FB showing what I can get out of an Eventide Blackhole. I put Triple Cheese into it for the hissing sounds, then Diva playing a vintage synth sound and also a bass. Could use any synth, but I happened to have Diva cued up. FF 30 seconds in to start really hearing it. (I was just playing around at first.) I was going for that ominous drone sound that makes kind of a background for so many ambient tunes.
