Curious, do you have any video of this event?JoeCat wrote: ↑Tue May 15, 2018 1:18 am I just completed a huge project for an outdoor neon light and sound event, and virtually all of the synthesis used was Reaktor (there's a bit of Live's new Wavetable synth and Operator in there as well). Along some Kontakt libraries for orchestra, etc. and Abbey Road drums, Reaktor covered virtually everything else...

On my way way to work this morning I was thinking about making a piece with just Boscomac's stuff. I have no idea what's happening under the hood, but the concept, aesthetics and sound of those ensembles is amazing. Boscomac also has some of the best product demo tunes I've heard.

So, I think that this should help people understand how old these primary modules are. Note that Kaleidon, Junatik, and the original Carbon, which came with V4 released in 2003, are still included in recent releases. Also, Carbon 2, which came with V5 and has core filters, puts the evolution of Reaktor and the primary/core distinction in time.

So you can look in Kaleidon and the original Carbon and see how many of the old filters are still around. I might be wrong, but I don't think that NI ever updated these because that would change the sound of existing ensembles, they just added new modules. I'd have to work hard to find info, but, I believe that the vast majority of primary filters have remain largely unchanged for the better part of two decades.
Looking in Carbon 2 you can see newer core filters but that they're oversampled. Between v5 and v6 Vadim was working on his ZDF stuff so those filters, as part of the library came with V6.

Hi KVRers, I'm new to KVR and new to Reaktor -- just bought it a few days ago on a half-price crossgrade and I'm beginning to think it was the best $100AUD I've ever spent. Only problem is after happily scouring this thread and downloading and playing with User Library items for most of yesterday evening I suddenly find today that the entire User Library, along with the entire Reaktor Community archive at NI, seems to have crashed! Or at least it looks that way. Does this happen often? I'm keen to get back on and start learning and browsing again.
Anyway thanks hugely for this thread and for everyone who put time into developing for the User Library. I had no idea Reaktor was so cool!

Funny thing, after waiting for hours I checked again right after writing my post and it was back up. Checked on 2 devices and 2 networks.

Just had a look under the hood of this synth and there isn't really anything special about it , basic primary modules ( old filters and osc's ) some unison voice spread + tanh shaper for overdrive .Danilo Villanova wrote: ↑Mon Aug 03, 2020 2:45 am Misty Valley is an awesome synth:

The crackle noise is a sample
I really can't fathom why anyone would stil use the old primary filters when we now have all those amazing core zdf filters , they are exceptionally good ..each and everyone of them
It does have some great presets and a nice gui , true to that
As with most things , people new to reaktor are so impressed by the gui and the presets that they will easily call it the best synth ever .
Now the synths made by Trial N error , those are on a whole other level , especially sirius 8 and synth-03

I didn't say it was the best synth ever, I said it was an awesome synth, which it is. I don't five a f**k about ZDF or any of that crap. I care that it helps me make music, which this synth does.gentleclockdivider wrote: ↑Tue Aug 04, 2020 1:16 amJust had a look under the hood of this synth and there isn't really anything special about it , basic primary modules ( old filters and osc's ) some unison voice spread + tanh shaper for overdrive .Danilo Villanova wrote: ↑Mon Aug 03, 2020 2:45 am Misty Valley is an awesome synth:

In the past few weeks, I updated my own Reaktor ensemble review section of my new site, in a new format style. There are plenty to check out with large screenshots.
