Hi all,

I just want to let you know, that I have updated my track with a polished mix and new sounds for the cymbals. They have been to much "noisy" and are now more metallic soundic. The mix has now more volume automation is not so crowded anymore.

Whats up guys, long time no see! I've been crazy busy at work and doesn't look like its gonna let up. That said, I managed to squeeze in this months because I've always wanted to play around with Synth1. Basically as soon as I got to the distortion effect I was a goner. I ended up going somewhere between Filter/Helmet/Alice in Chains. Really says a lot that I didn't even have to go external distortion for this track. Synth1 is truly badass.

Unfocused mind: "Unfocus" your tracks and your sounds - take them in every direction your mind may wander. Surprising connections will be made! You'll need a focused mind for editing, but that's easy once the material's there.

When is the very last hour we can upload? (Midnight for what time zone) I'd like to run a quick remaster but I'm stuck at work today.

Find a justification for waiting 'till the procrastination goes away by itself...
That way it doesn't matter if it takes a hundred years.
I didn't make it either, Synth1 didn't really get me...

This track is certainly not polished - or even finished really, to be honest. I've had vey little time this month but didn't want to miss it! Barely mixed. Lots missing all around. The title says it all! Still, I hope still worth entering what I've managed to scrape together!

Definitely a OSC not to be missed!

Here is my rather minimalist track. Made in Reason 10.
The sections that sound glitched/reversed were made using a reason effect called Alligator. This is a triple gate/filter, I used the filters and the 3 separate outputs to create 3 versions of the signal from an Synth1, each of the outputs going through a different effect (a long delay, a reverb, dry signal) and then alternated muting/un-muting each of these signal chains. - Nothing was re-sampled or reveresed, although it may sound like it.

Synth 1 is an amazing low CPU footprint synth. Still can't believe I managed 13 instances in my Reason DAW.
From version 9, Reason supports 64-bit VST plugins, but is not the most efficient DAW at running VSTs. I find that my CPU maxes out with a smaller load of VSTs in Reason than in Ableton Live. - So, running 13 instances of Synth1, along all the other Reason Effects/Rack devices I have used, without the need to render any tracks was quite a pleasant surprise!
