does anyone know any VSTs like the arp patterns you find in yamaha workstations (that come with 1000+ arp patterns) or the roland JDXI.

so it gives you an instant riff/bassline just holding down some keys.

most arps are just up/down bog standard stuff.

I've never had the pleasure of using a hardware Workstation but you might want to check out BlueARP as it has alot of advanced features.

seen that and others like cream before, but its the patterns (i.e. presets) i need.

+1 for both BlueARP, and Kirnu Cream. Especially BlueARP comes with some nice arpeggio patterns.
