I have Curve 2 running - it is quite a nice synth - but I cannot figure out how to assign various CC's to individual parameters using midishaper eg CC9 to wave 2 pitch, CC10 to wave 1 pan etc etc

I can there is a midi learn but that does not let me specifically assign numbers - it just seems to learn absolutely everything that comes its way eg it will will learn all the automation coming through not a specific one

any ideas how to get this working?

There are tutorials at the bottom of this page (you've not said which DAW): http://www.cableguys.com/midishaper.html

BTW, it's funny to see how much hustle people have to go through to do something that Bitwig does out-of-the-box much easier, faster and more efficiently... :)

thanks - none of those cover Reaper which is what I use. It was the "teach" parameter that I needed, and some other stuff - also Curve2 seems to be a bit shit in that it only allows one thing to be modulated by one CC. So you can't target multiple parameters of the synth to be modulated by the same CC. Falcon allows that - probably many others. But so far I have not seen how to achieve that with Curve2. Has a good sound though and is fun to play with

that's how I feel when I see someone in Bitwig trying to edit audio ...:)

Not sure if you sorted it out or not, anyway this is basically what I do in REAPER for Curve2 or any other plugin diven by MidiShaper...

- click/move the knob you want to automate so it's selected
- go to Param > MIDI Link > CC > choose the CC number you want
- put MidiShaper before Curve2 in the FX chain
- put that CC number in one of the column slots of MidiShaper

By doing it this way you can indeed assign multiple parameters to the same CC number, repeating the first two steps.

It might seem very cumbersome but it takes like 10 seconds to do everything... MidiShaper is an invaluable tool, a total must have imho  Until REAPER comes with something built in which can do the same.

Last thing... you mentioned "CC9 to wave 2 pitch" in the OP, although that can be done without MidiShaper, since "Pitch" is available as a destination in Curve2's mod-matrix.
