Hi there!

I'm new at this forum and it's the first time I'm participating for the KVR One Synth Challenge! I've really had a lot of fun creating this song and playing with MSoundFactory! Now, here is the result:
https://soundcloud.com/tuscamusicas/tus ... production

I've created this song using only sounds from MSoundFactory plugin by MeldaProduction. The song was created, arranged, mixed and mastered in Presonus Studio One 4 with native effects such as Channel Strip for EQ, Mixverb for reverb and RedlightDist for a little bit drive distortion.

I've used 13 instances of MSoundFactory with the following presets (notice that I've used these presets almost without touching the original values):
Delayed
Kick Factory
Perking Up
Basic Flute
Flapper
DX Pluck
Epic Brass FX 1
Epic Brass FX 2
Church pipe organ 3
Spoocky Kick
Club HiHat
Dry HiHats

I want to thank you so much to MeldaProduction, Presonus and KVR for this challenge!!!

Cheers!

To be honest, I felt like I ended up not sufficiently exploring the possibilities with this synth. There's so much going on, and so many possibilities that I found myself ignoring huge amounts of capacity to focus on the kind of bread-and-butter more-with-less sound design that happens all the time in OSC. Also trying to find the sweet spot where integrating the useful feedback and advice from past months meets relaxed creativity.

As usual, I'm in it for the feedback and advice, and hoping this represents another step forward.

Here is my entry! A bit different than what I usually make. A bit short, a bit simple. Made sounds from scratch this time. Had fun with the resonator module and the noises.

It's still a WIP really. Spent most of the month exploring the synth and designing sounds, then pretty much threw this arrangement together today after work. Mixed on headphones (too late, don't want to wake the neighbours after all!) I will see how it sounds on main speakers tomorrow afternoon.
I feel like a month is just enough to scratch the surface with this synth. Once you get to know it a bit it is quite a lot of fun and can be inspiring. (The randomisation features are a great source of inspiration and way to explore the synth!)

Here's my entry this month. I like the synth more now than I did at the start. Enjoy.....

So I managed to make this! I had a lot of fun learning and making sounds with MSF! I should really try and finish earlier so I have time to properly check my mix and master. The track got a bit crazy, but I ran with it :D
Even though MSF is in Beta it's very usable and stable, the CPU usage is decent. I was getting an error on exporting, but luckily the track works!

I recorded myself noodling around in MSF using patches entirely of my own devising (though the piper's pipe was derived from a sweet MSF factory patch), used no samples (the drum sounds are from the drum synth out of MDrummer), nor any FX not included in MSF, then layered four of the recordings, with some chopping, fading, and a very little region looping.

Was inspired by a well-known painting by Paul Klee called Twittering Machine.
Hi David, just for clarification, by chopping do you mean chopping the audio render or MIDI data?

The audio… Is that a problem? I created the whole thing by recording audio in realtime, then assembling/layering these files in Logic, sometimes deleting, sometimes looping. Nothing was created outside of MSF.
