Hello
now that many get their Polybrute, I would be interested in how it compares to the rest of the polysynth out there.
do you have a P6 or 5 / OB6 / or even a moog one?
have you ever compared it to the polybrute?
how close can the polybrute get to the "analog brass / warmth" the prophet is known for or the OB "fatness"? can it even do buchla style sounds with the wave folder?
I do not ask because I am looking for an all in one synth.
I just would like to know how good the polybrute is as a warm analog synth and whether it has its own character or can capture those of its predecessor legends?
Its just, that all the soundemos I can find sound more "neutral"
and that the focus is more on the morphing and other features than on the analog sound itself. is it just me?
best demo I found so far:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lPXaBr1 ... e=youtu.be
I realize that the polybrute is capable of much more that the classic sounds, but that shouldn't be part of this topic ...
basically:
how do the new brut VCOs sound like? (compared to the other synth?)
cheap? rich? warm? cold?
