I buy things based on what they provide now, with no worries or illusions
of what the future holds. Historically, first come the explorers, then the pioneers,
then the settlers, and then the parasites, who ruin all that they benefitted from.
NI were explorers, pioneers, and the many 3rd party contributors are the settlers. Who are the parasites in this framework? The history is still in the making
of what the future holds. Historically, first come the explorers, then the pioneers,

I just saw a video add for a new NI electric guitar lib. The add looked like it was
slapped together by a high-school dropout, who took an old IK add script,
and tossed in some new video clips...even the audio was pathetic
The beancounters need to back off the apple strudel and champagne,
and work to save the company. You can only circle the drain
so many times before it goes under.

Honestly none of that is anything new. NI have always been a great company with some problematic been counting that gets in the way of things here and there. In the end though Kontakt is amazingly solid, and they do offer a ton of software at great prices.glokraw wrote: ↑Mon Dec 13, 2021 12:03 am I just saw a video add for a new NI electric guitar lib. It's definitely possible they get worse because there's outside investment firms involved but I don't think this early on it's worth getting riled up about.

So just how long have they been bean counting LOL!! Who gives a rat's patoot that 3rd party teenagers make crap libraries? No one put a gun to your head and forced you to buy them, (or download them for free). Don't like Battery? There are other alternatives.

Yeah because something broke in the latest version of KConvert module. Last version that had the working KConvert module (as far as EXS is concerned) is 5.1.0.noiseboyuk wrote: ↑Sun Dec 12, 2021 11:05 pmOh... well lots of reports that stuff like EXS24 haven't worked for years in Kontakt, people saying they've kept Kontakt 5 for those chores.EvilDragon wrote: ↑Sun Dec 12, 2021 10:56 pmIt's the same for Kontakt. Same exact patch conversion module.

How do people revert back to the previous version of Battery 4 on Windows 10? I find the website very confusing. Almost like as though they don't want people to contact support or something.
I assume there's a download page.
Can you say what version I should download?
Thanks kvr.

Thank you.
Looks like BATTERY 4.1.5 Win Update 29.04.2015 174.0MB is the one I want.
Can I run this over my current install?
Would I have to uninstall the current install first?
I should have read the changes before updating to the latest version.

So has NI stopped supporting the VST2 versions? That is ridiculous if they did.
VST3 plugins are full of issues...

What do you mean by that exactly? There are still VST2 versions of the plugins, and, they're still updated. The 32-bit VST2 have been removed in the recent updates though.

It asked me if I really wanted to ''downgrade'' my software.
Anyway. That didn't work. Stand alone kept crashing, even after restart etc. Uninstalled B4 and was unable to use the old upgrade installer because of course nothing was installed anymore.
Reinstalled current version.
