How do I recreate the synth playing the main melody hook in this track? Coming in at 0.30 and playing throughout.

Thanks!

It's a matter of getting the right notes/midi
then making an acid patch en play with the filter cut-off.

Well that sounds very Roland TB-303 Bassline (1982). If that's what you mean. The 90s "acid" is defined by this little machine.

It's a hard to emulate the thing though. It's the combination of the behaviour of the oscillator (not the same over the "keyboard"), the 18 dB/oct resonant filter that has a high pass filter in the feedback loop and the "Accent" and "Slide" of the pattern sequencer.

But you can get somewhat close with a highly resonant 12, 18 or 24 dB/Oct filter (depends on the resonance characteristics) and appropriate drive/distortion/shaping. And pitchbend/portamento.

There are specialized software emulations. But not many come really close.

try a dedicate 303 emu, there are a couple that can pretty much nail it. You need the built in seq tho for the accent and slides.
