Must add it. There's no way around it:

The flute sound, maybe best audible between 1:27-1:29 min. or at 2:09 min. incl. what you can hear at the end of the sound.
I tried triangle and sine but there must be a lot more to it.
How did they get the end of that sound between 2:09-2:10 min. in particular?
This makes the sound especially nice!

Thanks man, but what do you think of the end of the sound at 1.29 min?
This is the part where I despaired yesterday.
Is this a pitch automation + vol. automation?
I can also hear something like a flute noise there?

I kind of got to the point where you got there using a triangle + sine wave which sounded somewhat similar when lowpassed but I'll have to check again. Maybe it's really just a saw as you suggest and I just put the cutoff wrong when I tried the saw first. I always start out with a saw.

But I was already content with the basic sound quality of my patch: I also already added some vibrato and I figured out that there is some volume automation.

Still this END of the sound at 1.29 min. got me yesterday!
I used the pitch wheel on my keyboard with some quick upshifting towards the end of the note
but it didn't sound right.
I tried a chord to kick in at the end (was it 5 st or something?) but still ...not really, though maybe a bit closer!
It seems like there is some flute noise coming in as well + mainly and most importantly something else pitch or chord related which is still mysterious to me that happens to the sound itself at the end. Heeelp!

Oh yeah I mention it in he video but you would program that in with the midi because it's not on every note the the pitch shoots up. so by setting it to mono/legato and then using slide notes is really the only way to program it in. Same with the volume automation, you write it in alongside the midi

I know you mentioned it in the video.
But pitch bending didn't work, Choos. I tried it but it never sounded right so it must be something else?
Then I thought it must be an added note at the end but this also didn't work.
(A second thing is the noise that sets in only at the end but here I at least know that in principle it's a special type
of noise that's added.)
But for the changes in sound quality (apart from the noise) at the end I'm still at a loss. I don't even know what it is in principle if the things I tried did not work at all:

Ah!
I had a very close listen and I realize it's a separate instrument/flute.
The long note is the same long note bit you hear (what seems like) a short pitched up sound but it's a breathy separate note that give a nice additional 'filler" sound so the melody
