Here is a rather long ambient jam I did today while testing a new reverb. Had fun patching the S&H to the OSC shapes for some tonal variation :)

I took me a while but you have to select the Neutron in the "Options" menu (see picture)
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Still want one!

They're really good value for what you get and for the price. I was playing with mine for about an hour last night - it's just fun to noodle with it and see what comes out.

A main contender for the Quoted out of Context thread if ever!

But I agree with the sentiment: neutron is great to just lose yourself in and extremely good value for money as well :)

Dammit, you can't drop your guard for a minute around here... :hihi:

I would like to share this recording from a concert I played in a church last year, which I finally got around to editing and uploading. It is an ambient piece based on a patch I made on the Neutron and is basically just the Neutron solo with some effects until the other semi-modulars come in after about 6 minutes.

It's a rather long and slowly evolving piece and probably best enjoyed with good headphones or a nice audio system. The video quality could be better due to dark lighting, so you could forget about the video and just listen to the audio.

I will be happy to answer questions about the setup or supply patch notes for Neutron if anyone is interested. Hope you enjoy!

Very nice! You love to see it.
Take care

I have had my Neutron for a while now but never really used the Paraphonic mode. I wanted to try to make use of it so I made this thing where Neutron is playing some dyads and the K-2 is playing some arpeggios on top.

I wanted to have this pumping/sidechained effect, so I am using the LFO for that. Here's a link to the patch if you want to try it: https://patch-library.net/patches/a02f4 ... b8dded346b

Does anyone's Neutron do this or are the instructions for OSC tuning wrong? When you hold the range button, the octave LEDs never flash. However, the Paraphonic button starts a steady blink and the range flashes even faster.

5.5 Tuning
The Neutron will self-calibrate at start up. An additional "tune" feature is
designed to allow the user to manually tune the oscillators to the last played
MIDI note. To tune OSC1 or OSC2 to the nearest ‘C’ note, press and hold the
appropriate RANGE button until the octave LED starts to flash. Play a MIDI note.
The LFO shape LEDs will display the tuning; turn the TUNE control until only the
descending saw LED is lit. That oscillator will now be playing a 'C'. This enables
the accurate tuning of intervals. For example, play an 'F' note, then tune as
above. That oscillator is now playing a fifth above the root note. To exit tuning
mode, press and hold the RANGE button until the octave LED stops flashing.
This is available in +/-10 octave mode (note that the long period of very low
notes means that the tuning feature appears to be unresponsive).
Takeoffs are optional, landings are mandatory. - Penelope Grenoble O'Malley
