debug video on the Analog Keys...

the Analog Keys comes with a +Drive, which allows for tonnes more projects/presets to be saved. The +Drive is already existing {though unused} in the Analog 4, and will be 'unlocked' in the next OS update {free update}

well, what kind of looked like pads in the still image, now looks like refracted light from LEDs on the frosted glass. In the video that is. It's clearly running a sequence. seems to have the light chasing x0x effect as with all of their boxes.
If it's not a replacement for any of their existing products, could it be a bona-fide and dedicated sequencer for external gear ?

Looks really exciting. Can't wait to get my hands on one to try!

So we finally see the mystery box.

most notable feature seems to be the 4x3 grid of pads.
I see some people thinking 12 voice analogue rum machine... which would be nice of course, but if this is the case it seems a bit - odd - that their sampler didn't get the pad treatment...

at any rate it takes a brave soul to early-adopt Elektron gear, braver still when there is pads in the equation. I look forward to your feedback over the next year or so :) thanks in advance ;)

Looks like a sequencer.

that would be my number 1 hope. And I mean fancy shmancy sequencer. Something along the lines of a Sequentix.

Post

When people own 3-4 Elektron machines they have 3-4 sequencers. I think if Elektron sell a sequencer for 599 or 699 then they can release synths and samplers with no sequencers attached also for 599 or 699. This I think would open up more varied and different designs.

It's an Analog Drum Machine with pads. Tempest killer.

Does anyone want to buy a used DSI Tempest. Never gigged. Smoke free studio. Excellent condition.

;)

This looks like it has HUGE potential ...

Sweet :D
hoping that the sample support will match the possibilities of the MDUW ... hard to guess if that will be the case, assuming they want to keep selling MDUW units, probably not ?

how much for your tempest, ZPH ? ;)

Post

The Tempest will be for sale when full details of the Elektron box are revealed (price, specs), and assuming it matches expectations (which it probably will). Not sure about Tempest sale price yet.

Peace,
Andy.
