I'm trying to use K-Mix as a sound interface. I can't get sound out of KMI K-Mix. I've tried various outputs and the headphone output.

I've connected K-Mix to my computer with the micro-usb cable supplied. The drives are installed. The k-mix editor and windows detect that k-mix is connected.

K-Mix is my first "mixer so there might be something simple that I'm missing. Maybe some stupid button I'm supposed to press.

The only sound I get is a slight sound from my monitors when I shut K-Mix off. By the way, the power button is very weird in K-Mix. I have to press it for three seconds for it to shut off. Why? What does it do when I press it for a second?

Not sure what happened but now I'm hearing the windows test bling sound. But no other sounds are audible. Youtube etc. is mute. However once I got a huge burst of noise from opening video - after that... silent.

I'm using Windows 10. I've followed these extremely simple steps https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zym48Nv2Nko
I'm getting a feeling that something is kaput.

Now all the windows test sounds are extremely distorted.
Also when I select "listen to this device" for the microphone, I get 100% distortion. I can hear some slight sound over the distortion when I tap on the microphone.
Seems like an extremely crappy device.
