I’m happy with audio technica ath-m50x + realphones. Ath-m40x is a little bit cheaper and some people say flatter, but I don’t have experience with it.

Good things about the ath: very durable, easy to drive, very portable, detachable cables included, it works well with sonarworks, realphones, etc…

Bad thing it’s not the most confortable for extended periods of time, I’m used and spend several hours with it. My beyerdynamic dt 880 pro is very confortable, but I don’t use it so much. It’s good for audio editing but I can’t produce and mix with it as I can with the ath.

+1 for Superlux, the price-performance ratio of their headphones is amazing, my favorite is the HD681B

Akg k701 / 702 is great. Bass might be problematic; you can hear it but not really feel it; open back. Good for mixing and mastering. You can hear the unwanted frequencies pretty well. If music sounds good on these, it will translate _IF_ you managed to keep the bass volume in check.

Ath m-50x sound really good for the money, but id stay far away from those for mixing or mastering. Those i would only use for reference listening and own pleasure.
